Digital and Web Performance Analyst

Digital and Web Performance Analyst London, England

Goldsmiths, University of London
Full Time London, England 24592 - 27400 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

We are looking for a person to take control of our analytics and digital performance and ensure we know our website, content and advertising are working for our audiences.

Are potential students finding what they want to know and completing their applcation? Can we improve our use of video to show people what we do? What are people actually doing on our website? Are we missing opportunities from search traffic?

What you will do

On a practical front, you will take over running our Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity and other reporting systems. You’ll be responsible for setting us up on Google Analytics 4 before the summer.

But this role is more than setting up systems and running reports. This role is about working with colleagues and being part of project teams to set measurable objectives, test against them and then make improvements.

You’ll help us understand user journeys and make them better by identifying problems and testing solutions. This applies across our digital landscape, including journeys from advertising and social media. It will also link to student and other metrics across the university.

This role will have an important seat at the table in our content and website development, using insights to help us make decisions.

Where the role sits

This role sits within the Communications, Marketing and Recruitment directorate at Goldsmiths. We are responsible for telling the world what Goldsmiths does and bringing students to study with us.

It works with our website developers, content editors, designers, videographers and marketers.

What the successful candidate needs

You need to be an expert in analytic platforms for Google and social networks, know how to configure Tag Manager and bring them all together to understand how people are using digital platforms.

You need to be proactive, find problems and suggest ways to fix them. You need to know how to make data work for good.

You also need to be persuasive and know how to convince people with opinions based on their conjecture. You’ll respect they know the audience and what they want to achieve. You’ll give them evidence of what is happening on our platforms and what we can do to improve them.

Working patterns

This is a 21 hour a week role. It is ideal for someone who wants to do additional work for others, has other responsibilities or simply doesn’t want to work full time.

We are flexible in what this means – it could be three days or a mix of full and half days. At least one day will be in our New Cross based office, the rest can be worked from home.

Applying

Applicants will be shortlisted on the contents of their application form, which is on our website. You must fill out the Essential and Desirable Criteria sections with examples of how you and your experience meet these criteria.

We can only accept applications using our online application form. We cannot accept CVs emailed directly to us.
