This role can be based from one of our base locations in Edinburgh, London, Widnes, Manchester with hybrid/remote working offered - as a lot of our team are Edinburgh based occasional travel to the office will be required.

Our Digital function has 4 main teams; Digital Product Management, Analytics, Web Publishing and User Experience. Driven by data, together we ensure we design, build and deliver new and improved experiences for our customers, giving them great reasons to join us and stay with us.


Through a series of rotations across the individual teams, your role as Digital Analyst is to enhance your core digital skills, capabilities, and knowledge and use this to provide effective support and assistance to projects and initiatives that improve our customer experience.

Working closely with experienced team members you will apply your learnings, taking ownership of assigned tasks.


What you will be doing


Take ownership of assigned activities that support projects and initiatives, completing these effectively and to the required timescales. Projects and initiatives would be wide ranging in content but an example of activities in this role could include conducting user research and/analysis and using this to define the requirements for features that improve the content of our website.


  • Working collaboratively across functions including Marketing, Commercial, Operations and Technology to support the Digital team in the coordination of information such as complaints data, marketing traffic and journey MI to help in the prioritisation of the Digital Roadmaps.
  • Assisting team members in the preparation of MI Reporting for distribution (e.g. exec reports, customer satisfaction reporting, analytic reports or risk reporting) that allow us to share progress on initiatives, manage our risks and create actionable plans arising from these reports
  • Coordination of Show and Tells and other initiatives that help communicate the great work happening in Digital to the wider business.
  • Undertake relevant training, applying this to work undertaken, seeking opportunities to add value or share ideas.

What you need to know and show


  • A positive attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in digital analysis, product management, or UX design – achieved either through personal projects or roles which can relate to digital (they don’t have to be directly digital specific).
  • Solid experience in Excel.
  • Keen interest in Digital initiatives and a strong customer orientation.
  • Some experience in other tools eg Adobe Analytics would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Great analytical skills.
  • Strong communicator and able to build effective relationships.
  • Comfortable to share new and fresh ideas.
  • Able to effectively manage a varied workload to deliver outcomes to deadlines.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for continual learning and development.
