Letombo Limited is seeking a full-time Registered Manager to join our team in Portsmouth and Havant in Hampshire.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 5

Responsibilities:

The Team Manager is required to support the Operations Manager to ensure that all Support Workers follow the policies and procedures relating to the function of the service. The Team Manager’s role includes but not limited to, finance, administrative, human resource, and health and safety duties.

The Team Manager reports to Operations Manager.

  • Ensure the ongoing safety of clients, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes.
  • Working with the Operations manager to ensure the highest standards of care are achieved and company objectives.
  • To attend all statutory and mandatory training as required by the Company in order to fulfil duties.
  • To ensure Support workers receive regular supervision and appraisals.
  • Ensure young people and adults in the service are effectively safeguarded.
  • Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to support given to clients in implementing their care plans are maintained and filed appropriately.
  • Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that clients receive the medical and clinical support they require.
  • Promote and maintain a healthy and safe environment for all clients.
  • Supervise and manage the completion of all regulated activities in a safe, responsive, and caring manner.
  • To liaise with colleagues, commissioners to ensure effective implementation of client’s care plans.
  • Conduct and document care and risk assessments. Develop care plans in conjunction with the social worker and other professionals related to the assessed needs and choices of each client.
  • Ensure accident/incident reports are written clearly and concisely and that any remedial action or learning is incorporated into care delivery.
  • Ensure that Clients are encouraged and supported to remain as independent and active as possible. Promote the philosophy of activity-based and outcome focused care.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all clients, whilst encouraging a happy, homely atmosphere.
  • Have accommodation choices available to them to meet their range of health and care needs flexibly and responsibly.
  • Support the process of establishing and maintaining a stable, competent, and motivated staff team in all off the semi-independent accommodation. This will include completing management investigations and disciplinary hearings as and when required.
  • To provide Management cover, including being an “On call manager” as and when required and complete all other duties reasonably agreed
  • To ensure the adequate training and supervision of staff, to facilitate the effective completion of their duties.
  • Ensure the thorough development of internal quality assurance processes and

that administration systems are current and appropriate, that recorded information is accurate, and to ensure that data is provided in a timely manner by Team Leaders, to be passed onto the Operations manager and to the Local Authorities and commissioners when requested. Carry out monthly audits and quality assurance.

  • Ensure the organisation continues to be registered with regulatory bodies and meets compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for budget management and overall performance of the accommodations.
  • Promote a high standard of professional practice through personal example, encouraging appropriate professional training & development by managing a comprehensive programme of Performance Management and formulating specific Learning and Development Plans for staff.

· Having the ability to motivate and encourage young people.

Person Specification

  • Must have full licence, ideally clean (but no more than 6 points as a maximum) and access to a motor vehicle for work purposes.
  • Minimum of NVQ Level 5/Diploma Level 5 (Health & Social Care Children & Young People).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team.
  • A respectful, courteous, and compassionate nature.
  • A willingness to undertake any aspects of administration and support work duties.
  • Basic IT skills and familiar with MS Office.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in long-term care environment required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must possess strong organisational skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£34,366.00 per year
