Could you work as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to improving the prevalence childhood obesity in Tayside?We are seeking an individual to join our Child Health Weight Service. The post holder will support our integrated Child Healthy Weight Team with a focus on the development and testing of a new tier 2 service for children under 5 years of age."
This is a dynamic, proactive multi disciplinary team supported by dietitians, clinical psychology, dietetic support workers, health improvement practitioners and administrative staff.
We are seeking an individual with:
- Good communication and organisational skills
- An interest in nutrition and weight management
- An ability to support and relate to people
- Ability to work as a team member
- Previous experience of working in a health or relevant caring environment, particularly with families and children under 5 years
The post holder will be involved in supporting families remotely and in their own homes You will also work closely with health visiting teams. A proportion of the duties will include responsibility for some administrative tasks.
The Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Services promote collaborative working across all our teams. This enables and encourages the development and implementation of pathways, standards and innovative practice. The post holder will be offered significant supervision and training opportunities.
The posts will be based in Kings Cross Hospital and has a Tayside wide remit.
Hours of work are 22.5hours.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
