JOB TITLE: DevOps Support Engineer
SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £66,861 - £74,290
LOCATION: Edinburgh, Cardiff or Halifax
HOURS: 35 hours, full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

The role is in the Enterprise Engineering Tools team, within Chief Technology Office, Engineering. It is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking progressive team, actively working in Azure and GCP clouds. The focus is on the Atlassian suite of products, providing both technical support and demonstrating hands on technical expertise whilst supporting the design, build and implementations of solutions based on business requirements. You'll have excellent opportunities to build a great internal network and develop an understanding of this exciting team and the activities they perform.
You’ll be a catalyst for accelerated change within Lloyds Banking Group. Implementing and maintaining modern tools and processes that increase speed, leverage leading practices to improve efficiency and build a culture that continually improves engineering operations. You’ll be collaboratively applying systems thinking to optimise cross-system processes. Whilst driving targeted architecture and operating model changes and creating sustainable change and build capabilities.

What you’ll need
  • Strong commercial experience in Jira and Confluence administration including installation, configuration, upgrades on Unix/Linux systems
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and SSL
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of at least one database management tool like MySQL, SQL Server
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills/concepts quickly using and developing an in-depth knowledge of Atlassian tools
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high quality products and services, keeping a focus on our customers.
And any experience of these would be really useful
  • Understanding of APIs and their usage. Including Jira and Confluence APIs
  • Building reporting dashboards using PowerBI and EazyBI
  • Azure public cloud
  • General knowledge of Linux and supporting Tomcat applications
  • Excellent analytical skills and able to work methodically with a high level of attention to detail
  • Able to find answers to questions and resolve problems whilst maintaining a focus on routine tasks
