Purpose
We are seeking a DevOps specialist who is passionate about automating release and build processes and working within a cloud environment. In this role, you will take the existing build and release pipeline and transform it into a modern, high-performing, automated, and optimized CI/CD pipeline that drives quality, stability, and performance throughout the development and testing lifecycle. You will work closely with the development and testing teams to implement and improve on Agile/DevOps best practices, and you will proactively identify, monitor, and troubleshoot any performance bottlenecks or reliability issues within our environments and pipelines.
This position offers the opportunity for remote work with occasional meetings in our office (1-2 times per month).
Role Profile
- Transform the existing build and release pipeline into a modern, high-performing, automated, and optimized CI/CD pipeline.
- Influence the adoption of new technologies and standards within the team to better maintain the release and build processes.
- Work closely with the development and testing teams to implement and improve on Agile/DevOps best practices.
- Proactively identify, monitor, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks or reliability issues within our environments and pipelines.
- Adhere to IT security standards and regulations.
Person Specification
You will have...
Essential Skills:
- Passion for Agile, DevOps, and automating the everyday.
- Expertise in cloud-based technologies, particularly AWS.
- Solid experience in building and deploying applications.
- Knowledge of Jenkins, GIT (BitBucket), Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Experience with CI/CD best practices.
- Familiarity with a Java Enterprise environment, including Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and scripting languages such as bash and python.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with development and infrastructure teams.
Desirable:
- AWS certifications
