As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who will be a critical member of our Digital Base Platform team in the UK.
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for builds, deployments, packaging, integration, automation and releases of software. This includes collaborating with developers, managers, and QA automation engineers to define build definitions to meet internal and external requirements and timelines.
The DevOps Engineer must be highly analytical & process oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have excellent organisational and time management skills, be able to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects at one time, and be motivated, professional, and creative.
- Work closely with the Development, QA and Security teams across all phases of application development and deployment
- Maybe required for On-Call schedules & escalation for Production support
- Responsible for collecting key metrics data and creating reports for capacity planning and trend analysis
- Create Automation strategy for release deployments and other maintenance activities, and participate in production releases
- Responsible for Change Management for the application/configuration changes in a Production environment
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and policies, adhering to Enterprise policies and compliance needs
- Maintain applications/environments as per applicable Audit controls (such as GDPR/HIPAA/ISO/SOC/FDA regulations)
- Responsible for coordinating Disaster Recovery tests with other responsible team members, as per the company's policy
- Enable development teams' productivity by building solutions, and automation tools, providing help and guidance as needed
- Focus on continuous integration (CI), release management, infrastructure resources (Azure), provisioning of environments
- Assures system reliability and availability for applications, and ensures 24/7 monitoring, problem identification, escalations, and notifications related to all systems and services
- Responsible for evangelizing best practices and ensuring teams are following these
- Leads the collaboration with the Ops team to ensure they understand the teams' infrastructure
- Work closely with Microsoft to provide best-of-breed technology solutions for our customers
- Access to Pluralsight and various other training resources (eg: UL University) to continue your personal development
- Good background in DevOps in an Azure environment
- Experience driving DevOps transformation
- Knowledgeable about implementing high-availability services
