Truffle Hunting is currently recruiting for a passionate and ambitious Head Chef for a new Bistro and Wine Bar opening in Oxford, Oxfordshire.
Their aim is to provide great value in a friendly, laid-back environment with focus on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients to provide delicious contemporary dishes, beautifully presented and full of flavour.
The Bistro and Wine Bar will have a smart interior combining with a comforting feel, attentive, friendly, considered service. Not fussy, but fun. Aiming a Bib Gourmand and sustainability awards.
The kitchen is well appointed with woodburning oven, Josper, rational, Hold-o- Mat, walk in fridge etc.
The menu should be able to offer a wide range of small plates to encourage the wine bar to be food centric environment that will lead to extended visits to the Bistro for larger dishes.

Head Chef - Role Responsibility
- Full responsibility for kitchen operation, ensuring every dish is of perfect quality and produced on time
- Stock management including controlling wastage to achieve GP, show initiative, drive, and passion, thinking on your feet to handle high-volume shifts
- Be a strong leader to your team, coaching staff and encouraging their development
- Use excellent attention to detail to deliver impeccable standards
- Solid experience in a high volume fresh food kitchen as a Head Chef
- minimum 2 Rosette or Michelin experience
- Take a pro-active and proud approach to running the kitchen and achieving awards
- Great communication skills
- Hungry to learn new techniques and develop
- Have a thorough understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines within the kitchen

Salary: £48,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
