We are a focussed team of exceptionally talented engineers, developers and designers committed to helping Santander deliver value through use of latest technologies and ideas including blockchain, AI, Chatbots, Big Data etc. and developing our team through continued learning and challenging the ways of working to accelerate innovation trough agility, design thinking and hypothesis driven development.

The difference you'll make.

• Designing, developing, and deploying digital solutions for our customers.
• Driving improvements and best practices in an agile development environment.
• Contribute to several products that have direct impact to our customer journeys.

What you’ll bring.

• Good knowledge with AWS technologies (Lambdas, API gateway and DynamoDB in particular)
• Experience in automation, e.g., Github actions, Jenkins pipelines etc.
• Experience working with in agile software engineering team
• Experience of modern software development practices (Unit testing, Test driven development and CI/CD)
• Experience with Java and JavaScript backend development
• Good communication skills

It would also be nice for you to have.

• Experience with the serverless framework
• Experience with FluxCD
• Experience with Dynatrace and other monitoring solutions

What else you need to know.

This is a permanent role based out of Milton Keynes working on a flexible hybrid model.

The successful candidate will work with modern cloud technologies, and they will be able to shape the architectural patterns within the product as well as other business areas. As part of the wider Innovation department, there will be future opportunities to work with new and exciting technologies and options to move to different products. If needed, different levels of formal and informal training will be provided.
