Job description
The role of the Senior DevOps Engineer is to provide programming, integration, and development support for a range of systems to ensure operational performance is maintained and fed into the DevOps processes.
The post holder will work in an agile way to provide specialist advice to Service Users and Project Managers and assist with the implementation of new software, hardware and infrastructure projects, including leading on the enhancement and optimisation of functionality within our established Patient Engagement Portal (PEP).
The role will also lead a small DevOps team working on the PEP project ensuring they are allocated tasks according to their skills, knowledge and grade, providing feedback to those mentoring and upwards to senior management.
This is a fundamental role within the wider Digital Services team to provide a service to all Directorates within the Trust and our wider ICS colleagues for the design, development and support of the implementation of the Digital Roadmap.
It requires the ability to work with other team, stakeholders and suppliers to methodically analyse problems and recommend or implement the best course of action.
The post-holder should have significant experience working within Information Technology with a focus on development and integration of systems and system design acquired through an appropriate degree plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through relevant experience and technical courses.
