DevOps / AWS Engineer - Role Overview

SharpEnd / io.tt is an experience-led Studio / SaaS business partnering with ambitious brands to re-imagine the real world as a connected platform. We have developed an industry leading identity management platform, io.tt, to support clients and customers to deliver intelligent and data driven connected product campaigns.

As a DevOps / AWS Engineer within our growing engineering team, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure of our io.tt and studio projects, enabling us to deliver products with speed and efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities

● Develop and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure and platform, leveraging best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.

● Monitor and optimise the performance and cost of our cloud resources, using tools such as CloudWatch.

● Supervision and development of the system architecture for the io.tt platform.

● Constant alignment with the manager of cloud computing execution environments (based on Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes).

● Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

● Work closely with the product team and developers to understand their infrastructure needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.

● Maintain the highest levels of cybersecurity, liaising with specialist consultants

● Compliance with privacy and data processing laws and regulations.

● Analyzing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements.

● Governance of software development and versioning procedures.

● Automate infrastructure and operations tasks, such as provisioning, monitoring, and testing.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the Engineering team.

Skills and Experience

● 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or a related role.

● Strong knowledge of microservices architectures and cloud-native paradigms.

● Strong experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS.

● Strong understanding of containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and CloudFoundry.

● Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
