About The Role
At Practice Plus Group Ophthalmology, North West, we are passionate about providing high quality, fast and convenient assessment treatment to our patients. Our team members work across the North West taking our services where they are needed most. They are adaptable, friendly, polite and caring and they enjoy working with people from different cultures and backgrounds, even across different locations.We have an exciting opportunity for registered healthcare professionals to become specialist AMD practitioners. Whether you are an experienced practitioner wanting to move into a new area or a newly qualified practitioner, we want to hear from you. Training will last up to 9 months and if you are newly qualified, we are able to offer preceptorship.
You will be supported with funding and study leave to either learn or enhance your skills in ophthalmology, progressing to being and independent practitioner, delivering treatment to patients as part of the intravitreal injections (IVI) pathway, the treatment of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and other treatable macular conditions.
About You
As a practitioner on the developmental pathway, you will be able to demonstrate sound clinical skills and demonstrate judgement in assessing patients. Most importantly however will be your enthusiasm for personal development and supporting the development of your colleagues, sharing your skills and knowledge.You will be a registered healthcare professional e.g. NMC registered Nurse, HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner or Orthoptist, GOC registered Optometrist with excellent communication skills and a willingness to be innovative and embrace learning as well as the practical application of new skills in the workplace.
