About the Role:To working within the NPD team, develop innovative and exciting new products for our customers and drive the food culture within Billington Foods.Reporting to: Head Development ChefKey Responsibilities:The responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:· Develop and launch commercially viable products for our customers in line with briefs.· Ensure NPD and EPD always delivers the balance of quality and innovation as well as hitting the right costs and nutritional targets.· Keep up to date with the latest food trends and new openings so that you can talk passionately about the industry.· Develop internal and external relationships across all functions and customers to aid the successful delivery of new products and innovation.· Support the process team in the trialling and launching of new products to ensure successful scale up in the factory and grow your operational knowledge.· Continue to support the operations and QA team to ensure that the products we manufacture are the quality and standard that our customers expect.· Assist the Head Development Chef in driving a food agenda within the business and promoting our food values both internally and externally.· Input recipes accurately on to the development system and ensure new raw materials are sourced in a timely manner to support the costing process.· Train and support the Junior Chef and kitchen assistant team to develop and grow within the company.· Present concepts to our customers through product panels and food shows and be able to speak passionately about the products, their provenance and the reasons why they should list them.Knowledge & Specific Job Skills· Sound knowledge of FMCG, specifically chilled· Good communicator for all levels of the business· Diligent, confident and assertive at all levels.· Strong interpersonal skills· To be a team player capable of making/influencing decisions.· High level of computer literacy – confident in all levels of Microsoft windows programmes.· Ability to challenge and lead changeRequired Personal Attributes· Significant experience in a customer facing role within the multiple retail sectors.· Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills· Results focused individual, you will have a demonstrable interest and knowledge of food trends and the food market and be fully conversant with financial data.Job Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: £41,000.00-£45,000.00 per yearBenefits:Life insuranceOn-site parkingReferral programmeSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:Performance bonusAbility to commute/relocate:Scunthorpe, DN16 1AL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Work Location: In person
