Development Associate, North America

$57,997 - $60,129 Per Annum (depending upon experience)

Open-ended contract (Permanent)

Full time (35 hours per week)

Retirement plan including highly competitive (22.5%) employer contributions

Office based role in New York with some flexibility for home working and occasional travel to Edinburgh

The Opportunity:

Gift processing is the bedrock of good donor stewardship and we are looking for someone who will share our passion for getting this right. The role will support the work of our US fundraisers and the University of Edinburgh USA Development Trust, the independent non-profit organization based in the United States that supports teaching, research and student activities at the University of Edinburgh.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • The ability to problem solve and work with financial data
  • The confidence and professionalism to represent the University to donors with enthusiasm and clarity
  • The ability to work independently with excellent organisational skills
  • Impeccable writing skills to communicate the impact of gifts to donors and write engaging content for direct appeals
  • Integrity, discretion and professionalism in your dealings with all stakeholders
