Development and Data Analyst
PO3: £38,296 - £41,496 pa
1 x 37 hours per week

Based at Margaret McMillan Tower / Hybrid working
This post is only open to Bradford Council Employees who are on Established or Fixed Term Contract because the Council has to consider employment opportunities for its workforce.
The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

An exciting opportunity has become available within the Information Management Team, we are looking to recruit a Development and Data Analyst. This post will be part of an innovative and forward-thinking team, leading the development of the current intelligence function within Children’s Services.
The Information Management Team sits within the Intelligence and Sufficiency service, overseeing education data within Children’s Services and working across services.
We are looking for candidates who share our energy and ambition in how all types of data can be best used to inform change and improvements. Successful candidates must be adaptable and able to work independently but still play a crucial part in collaboratively working with the team to drive forward change and improvements within Children’s Services.
Successful candidates will need to have an excellent analytical mind, be able to lead the development of innovative solutions and present data back as information and intelligence to a wide-ranging audience. You will also support on the development of strategic documents and needs assessments and create new ways of getting key information and messages out to those who need them in a timely manner.
A key part of the role will also entail supporting all our schools across the district who purchase the Information Management Team’s Services.
Some of the skills you may hold could include:
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent planning and prioritization skills
- A proactive and forward-thinking approach in driving forward change
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your style to meet your audience
- Experience in performance measures and proactive challenge
Previous experience of working in a Local Authority would be advantageous, however, is not essential as long as candidates are willing to learn and work collaboratively across services.
We are currently operating a hybrid model of working. There will be the expectation for some work in our offices, however, this will be alongside flexible home working.
