Developer
Northampton
As a Barclays Developer, you will be involved in the development and maintenance of in-house software products. You will also participate in the Agile SCRUM process to ensure software deliverables meets business requirements. With this role, you will work with and mentor junior members of the development team, this in turn will enable you to assist in the management of an Enterprise Backlog by providing expert technical knowledge.

• Defining best coding practices and helping in ensuring these are adhered to via code-reviews
- Being prepared to be a member of an Agile team and assist other areas when required
- Ensuring code to meet quality standards (through Checklists) and coverage as measured by code reviews & unit tests (at 90%), Sonar Static code analysis and/or QA reports
- Standardizing DevOps tools including code quality instrumentation tool and ensuring Top code quality rating
- Providing mentoring to junior members of the development team and wider IT community
- Continuing improvement and contribute to the design and architecture of the overall solution
What we’re looking for:
• Engineer Graduate (B.E./B.Tech.), MCA, M.Tech
- Extensive experience .NET 4.6+/.NET Core/.NET 6/C#/Visual Studio 2017/2019/2022/ ASP.NET Core/ASP.NET Web API
- Extensive understanding and experience with SQL Server and TSQL, SQL Server 2012 +
- Unit Testing (NUnit/MSTest/MOQ), Spec Testing (BDD SpecFlow)
• Experience in Amazon Web Services or any other Cloud Computing Platform
- Certification in any of the core development areas
- Financing/Loans Domain
Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
