Despatch Storekeeper

To ensure that Customer Orders are picked, prepared, and despatched as scheduled. To ensure that the receipt, storage and handling of materials and products on site is completed to maintain integrity, identity, and status of the material. Ensuring availability of materials to support production schedules, maintaining safety and compliance

In This Role:

  • Customer Order Preparation: Pick required material from racks, prepare Customer Shipments (labelling, shipment paperwork etc) and load and despatch Customer shipments as per outbound schedule.
  • Inbound material receipts (both tankers and dry goods) and associated M-ERP system receipts and paperwork.
  • Receive and locate finished goods delivered from Clav Production Store.
  • Preparation of Trace Salts materials for fermentation.
  • Ensure financial regulatory requirements are met by completing timely inventory cycle counts internally and with external auditors.
  • Ensure highest standard of housekeeping in all areas of responsibility
  • Carry out other tasks within area of responsibility as directed by the Supply and Logistics Leader: - take part in risk assessments to identify hazards and reduce safety risks. Carry out SOP / SWI updates as required. Support and seek improvements in current procedures, systems and ways of working to improve the working practices within the team.
  • Preparation and issuing of stores Permit to Work.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Knowledge and experience of cGMP
  • Knowledge and experience of good warehouse practice for warehouse and storage
  • Understanding of FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expired First Out) principles
  • Ability to drive a reach truck and forklift truck Basic understanding of chemical/manufacturing process

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages
  • Awareness of applications for Dangerous Goods Regulations
  • City and Guilds 060 level 2 Process Technology
  • Being able to work unsupervised and able to plan own workload
  • Continuous improvement and problem solving through the delivery of appropriate GPS tools
  • Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work across boundaries
  • Demonstrated proficiency in risk assessment
  • Experience in hazards associated with the chemical industry
  • Permit to Work experience.
  • Strong understanding of EHS & cGMP requirements
  • Drive and facilitate root cause analysis where necessary within the team
  • Ability to build strong working relationships within and across departments
  • Understanding of the processes on site, allowing anticipation of issues around materials and therefore taking pro-active steps to mitigate
