We have a fantastic opportunity for a Desktop Support IT Analyst to join our MOD Whitehall account in London. This is a permanent opportunity to join one of Amey’s most successful and high-profile contracts, delivering secure IT services to a major UK Central Government department.
The purpose of the Desktop Support IT Analyst is to work as part of a dedicated team, to system administration and 1st and 2nd line support for a complex physical network and Microsoft Windows environment.
The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours based on Monday – Friday.

***Whilst a current security clearance isn’t a pre-requisite, you will be required to obtain and then retain DV clearance***
You will be responsible for:
- Being first point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email and IT support portal
- Handling support of service requests which relate to all technology including; workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software
- Administration and troubleshooting of CAFM system
- Participating and assisting in driving knowledge management
- Administration of Exchange email system
- Basic Administration of Microsoft SharePoint
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in a similar role
- Windows 10 Administration & Support experience
- Active Directory Administration, new user setups (User Accounts, O365 Mailboxes)
- Basic networking troubleshooting knowledge, LAN, and WAN technologies
- Basic understanding of IT security best practices
- Ability and willingness to learn new applications and technologies.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Entry Level understanding of PRTG and its uses
