As a Designer at Valmet, you will be responsible of preparing general system layout and detailed drawings based on specific design parameters. Responsibilities will include the development of usable Architecture Engineering and Construction (AEC) standards to optimize the creation and delivery of computer-aided drawings. You will maintain Project drawings and design records in order to provide design support for field installation. When travelling to customer sites, you will be called upon to take field dimensions necessary for system design and inspect equipment to assure compliance with drawings and proper operation.
Requirements
The incumbent will need a Mechanical Engineering Degree or a Technical Diploma combined with 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the design of industrial machinery.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience in using with software such as computer-aided design software such as Auto Cad or CATIA. Pulp & Paper Industry experience and knowledge of papermaking process/papermaking products will be considered as a valuable asset.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to other Valmet and customer facilities in North America up to 10% of time (Canada, United States and Mexico).
