We're currently looking for Designers to work on our new exciting production!

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Lead Designer and other Designers to create engaging, appealing characters and props according to the style of the production.

• Translate character description and attitude from script to visual design.
• Submit multiple design variations and revisions based on feedback from Directors.
• Create model sheets of character turnarounds and facial/anatomical expressions. Making sure all notes are clear before it’s handled by the build team.
• Create animation and design notes for animation to indicate performance of the character.

Qualifications:

• Experience designing characters and/or props on a series.
• Strong drawing ability, a solid sense of design and character performance for 2D or 3D animation.
• Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation school desired.
• Highly proficient using Photoshop.

• Background in character animation an asset.
• Knowledge of Maya and Toon boom production an asset.
• A strong understanding of character appeal, shape language, silhouettes, great posing and facial expressions, with a detail-oriented eye.
• Take direction and work collaboratively within a team.
• Communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas in a professional manner.

• Able to meet production requirements on time and to standards.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, work under pressure and manage time efficiently.
