Role: Designer I – Hospitality, Full-Service
Reports To: Director/Team Leader

Role
A Designer I is a critical part of the project team. The position is part of the collaborative design process through all the phases of the project. While contributing skills and talents to projects, the position receives mentoring and guidance to build a well-rounded skillset. Attention to detail, willingness to learn and strong communication skills are key to the success of the role.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with design studio to achieve goals
- Initiate and create digital color boards for presentations
- Work with team to develop design narratives based on research
- Research new vendors and products to ensure design solutions are unique
- Pull furniture and finishes for review with internal design team
- Build digital design presentations for client and brand review
- Create 3D design studies and solutions
- Write FF+E Specifications for project team to review
- Work on ID drawing sets with team
- Coordinate design solutions with vendors and other project consultants
- Assist team on project site visits and project installations
- Prepare design solutions that meet local building codes and ADA guidelines
- Ensure that correct forms and procedures are followed throughout design process
- Work with design studio creating a resource library
Required Skills – Proficient Level
- AutoCAD and/or Revit
- SketchUp (with Enscape plug-in)

Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts: Interior Design
- Associate Degree in Interior Design would be considered based on professional experience
- Minimum of one internship
- 0-3 years of professional experience (hospitality experience preferred but not required)
