Since the Big Issue magazine relaunched with a new design direction in late 2021, the visual communication for the entire Big Issue Group has evolved to reflect this. As our commercial and marketing departments are growing in business and demand, we seek a, hungry, talented, graphic designer to assist the Art Director and Senior Designer to help strengthen the creative output across the entire Big Issue Group.
Driven by the belief that good design can influence positive change, you will be eager to make your creative mark on one of the world's biggest social enterprises.
You will ideally have at least 3 years' experience in Graphic Design or Publishing with a passion for typography and editorial design — the foundation of all we create. You will be confident enough to hit the ground running, understand the requirements of a brief in relation to house style and communicate well with all relevant departments.
You will be accomplished in Adobe Creative Suite — particularly InDesign, illustrator and photoshop. A good working knowledge of After Effects and animation desirable.

Salary and Benefits:
- The salary offered will be between £26,000 - £27,000 per annum.
- Incremental holiday entitlement starting at 25 days per year plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time staff) plus paid leave to care for a sick child or grandchild and a sick or elderly relation
