ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Designer you will collaborate with the Head of Exterior Design to deliver our product ambitions and to shape our Beyond100 strategy.
The Designer will create design solutions for Bentley’s new products in an efficient and effective manner, supporting the department and the Company’s requirements.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver proposals and concepts integrating brand values and strategy in 2D, 3D and other digital media.
- Develop and presentation of formal and functional solutions using innovation and creativity.
- Creation of high visual quality designs to agreed technical and ergonomic requirements.
- Supervise design development proposals in house and in co-operation with external partners.
- Ensuring Product Emergence Process (PEP) is applied and followed throughout the process.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will be a Designer with experience within the automotive industry. Proven ability to transfer designs, sketches and ideas into alternative digital design media. 3D CAD software and Photoshop knowledge and experience are an essential part of the role. A degree or equivalent engineering experience is required for all engineering roles.
- Ability to translate a sketch into a 3D package.
- Skill to design and develop innovative design proposals.
- Effective problem solving skills using innovative solutions.
- Excellent cross company communication skills at all levels.
- A proficient understanding of feasibility and production methology within area of responsibility.
