Job Description


THE ROLE

Want to see your designs worn by millions? As a Junior Designer at ASOS, you’ll be plugged into 20-something culture and on the pulse of the latest fashion and trends that our customers love.

The Design Team look for inspiration all around the world, along with street style, vintage shopping, music, art, the catwalk and all things creative, to design the latest product for the range. It’s all about newness and finding and designing the most exciting product for our 20-something customer, whatever their style.

You will be…

  • Developing and designing product ranges delivering these in line with the Topman brand aesthetic.
  • Owning a area within the Topman shirts category, working alongside the senior designer and print and graphics team.
  • Extensive trend research including all menswear categories and ensuring speed in delivering these in line with Topman brand aesthetic.
  • Supporting design team in building seasonal trends.
  • Building relationships and Working closely with Buying, merchandising and technical teams to range product.
  • Working with the technical team, advising factories on construction, details and artworks
  • Sourcing from the supply base and building relationship with suppliers
  • Traveling and researching for directional and comparative trend and product direction fitting to the Topman brand aesthetic.
  • Reacting to sales information and designing commercially relevant fashion forward range
  • Working with other Junior designers to create runway and trend reports, to support in delivering speed to market product.
  • Owning toles and responsibilities of your categories, with the shirts team, and supporting wider categories to develop multi product experience.

Qualifications


We’d love to meet, someone with…

  • Previous experience in Menswear/Womenswear clothing for an aspirational brand or similar High Street retailer
  • Experience with Woven
  • Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the Topman Brand and Customer
  • Computer Skills: Photoshop, Adobe, CAD
  • Self-Motivation & Enthusiasm
  • Fashion forward ideas
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, suppliers and others at all levels
  • Willingness to travel for Supplier meetings and inspirational purposes
