Arctic Spas Vancouver Island in Duncan, BC is looking for one Interior, Exterior and Digital Designer (IEDD) to join our 13 person strong team. The IEDD position provides support to clientele looking to remodel a property to include any of the Arctic Spas products. The IEDD works closely with the Marketing Manager to develop digital designs that align with the companies marketing strategy. The IEDD drives the creation of business strategies by capturing market insight and translating data into marketing designs that support achievement of company goals and objectives. The IEDD manages all designs for company expansion including but not limited to designing functional work spaces and inventory layouts. Our ideal candidate is has great time management and customer focus.

Responsibilities

*Estimate cost of projects and prepare detailed specifications *Create interior and/or exterior spaces that reflect clients' needs and tastes *Read blueprint, schemas and drawings *Advise on selection of colours, finishes and materials, lighting, furniture and other items, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards *Consult with clients to determine needs, preferences, safety requirements and purpose of space *Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures *Develop plans, elevations, cross sections and detailed drawings *Work with the Marketing Manager to create digital plans that support Arctic Spas Vancouver Island’s business plan *Lead marketing efforts to understand segment influencers including customer demographics, competitive assessments, and market needs. *Define and implement clear product positioning and messaging for ASVI. *Keep up-to-date on new developments and trends to understand ASVI customer and market needs. *Create marketing templates, departmentally specific, for all team members to use for concise and effective marketing messaging.

Qualifications

*5 years of successful related business experience, preferably in interior and/or exterior design. Digital design experience is an asset. *Demonstrated success working with all functional team members *Comprehensive understanding of the clientele marketing and product planning process. *Strong cross-functional management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively utilize resources to meet project deadlines and objectives. *Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to listen and assess customer needs, prioritize needs/requirements, and communicate them cross-functionally. *Excellent leadership, presentation, and negotiation skills. *Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as Operations, Sales, and Service Departments. *Strong relationship building skills to constructively foster relationships internally and externally, including key opinion influencers. *Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. *High level of motivation with the ability to operate as an individual and team contributor. *Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,).

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $28.50 - $32.00/hour.
