This newly created position is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in the safeguarding of pupils at Norwich High School for Girls.
Norwich High School for Girls understands that the increasing responsibility of safeguarding pupils is of paramount importance and the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Attendance Officer will recognise the scope and significance of the School’s role in safeguarding children of all ages.
The postholder will be responsible for safeguarding children across the school (from age 3-18) and will work with staff to create an effective safeguarding culture. They will develop relations with pupils, their parents, local safeguarding partners, and other relevant bodies and advise and support members of staff on child welfare, safeguarding and child protection matters.
The ideal candidate will require relevant professional qualifications or experience in the field of safeguarding as well as knowledge of legislation and guidance on safeguarding and working with young people.
