Job description
About the company
Yearbook Machine is a creative technology company. We design and build online software that enables groups of people to collaborate to create printed memory books. Founded at Cambridge University in 2008, we now sell yearbooks in 30 countries around the world.
We are a small, friendly team working in our own offices in a pretty part of Islington, London, just north of Old Street.
About the role

During this period, we need a Design Production Assistant to help us with the production of yearbook designs for our customers. This means operating our systems, to create yearbook proofs for customers and print files to be sent to our printers.
The role is computer-based and will involve using the Adobe Creative Suite software including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. We do not require you to already be an expert with these tools as we will train you in what is required, but some degree of existing familiarity would be helpful.
This is an interesting and rewarding job, providing an opportunity to be involved with creating a meaningful product, and to learn valuable software skills. Towards the end of the placement, as our busy season winds down, there will also be opportunities to get involved in other areas of our business, such as print design and software design.
