Blaze Signs are leaders in retail signage and one of the largest sign makers in Europe. We provide our customers with a complete retail signage solution, from planning and design, through to installation and maintenance.

Blaze is now looking for a full-time and permanent Design Operative to join our in-house design team in Broadstairs, Kent and assist the Drawing office with setting up design drawings and artwork. Working with a friendly, talented and enthusiastic team this role’s duties shall include;

Responsibilities and Duties;

• Check received works orders and understand the process of works orders within the design stage (Training will be provided)
• Working closely with the in-house design team to check works orders for signage and produce design drawings.
• Generate signage packs, signage schemes, generate and check artworks
• Work Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator Design programmes.

The ideal candidate will have

• Previous experience working as part of a design team is preferable, taking direction when required.
• Good understanding of layout, typography & placement graphics.
• Proficient Computer skills including Photoshop, Coral Draw, Adobe and Illustrator and CAD
• Self-motivated.
• Great time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines.
• Qualifications in design is desirable but not essential
• There may be a skills test at interview for those who are shortlisted.

This role is office based working Monday to Friday.
