(SolidWorks)

Established in 2005, Development Engineering & Enterprise Ltd (DEE-Ltd) provides
innovative engineering solutions to a broad spectrum of customers and market sectors.
Due to the growth of the company we are looking to expand our engineering team and are
actively seeking dedicated individuals to support a range of customer focussed development
projects.

Design Engineer

Your responsibilities will include:
- CAD design of automotive systems and components from concept through to
- Working with internal departments and suppliers to provide engineering design and
- Creation and management of supporting engineering documentation including
- Engineering change control management
- Generation and presentation of project status reports
- Development of hand calculations and spreadsheets to support product
- Travel between customer sites and suppliers within the UK and Europe
Candidates will have excellent SolidWorks skills, with HND, degree or relevant
manufacturing background, ideally with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an automotive
development field. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal
and communication skills who is self-motivated and able to work as part of an integrated
team. They will be passionate, enthusiastic, confident and personable with the ability to
deliver to high standard under critical time restraints.
Remuneration
Successful candidates will receive a highly competitive starting salary with opportunity for
professional development and a range of benefits that will include the following:
- Basic salary of between £25,000 and £30,000 depending on experience
- 40 Hours working week
- 24 days annual paid leave (increasing with service)

Essentials
- This role is only open to current UK Residents or those with an established right to
UK as we will not be able to progress your application.
- Excellent SolidWorks CAD skills
- Automotive engineering experience.
- HND, engineering degree qualified or relevant manufacturing background
- Strong engineering problem solving skills
- Enthusiastic, confident and personable
- Excellent numeracy skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Team player with the ability to work with people at all levels
- Excellent MS Office skills including Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Able to work independently or as part of an integrated team
- Full driving license
Desirables
• Direct experience of suspension, powertrain or EV architecture development
- Certified SolidWorks user with CSWE-Mechanical Design accreditation.
