Job description
Introduction: We’re currently looking for 1-2 full time system technicians, with no experience required. You’ll be custom building gaming computers from start to finish, including packaging and boxing. This may entail upgrading, refurbishing and diagnosing a range of different systems.
This role is within a small, environmentally friendly and exciting business which is quickly growing, giving you an opportunity to play a highly valued and integral role in our growth.
If you’re not already familiar with computers, full training and support will guide you through your progression as you grow your technical abilities with us!
Main Responsibilities:
* Building custom gaming computers from its individual components. A Bedrock Computer is bespoke to each customer, and you’ll be creating their PC from our in house refurbished parts that you feel are most suitable.
* Cable management of each system, which my include cleaning and refurbishing the chassis and components with plenty of equipment on hand.
* Downloading Windows and testing each system on our 5 desk testbench. Thorough testing is required, and you may need to diagnose or fix a fraction of the systems, using deductive reasoning and your developing experience.
* Applying the finishing touches, by branding the Windows copy with custom Bedrock features, and applying branded stickers to the computer and packaging, followed by boxing and sealing.
* Keeping the office and stock room tidy and organised.
* Unboxing and moving new stock, from parcels to pallets.
* Giving your creative input and making suggestions to help streamline the process and grow the business. There are also plenty of other tasks and responsibilities, such as communicating with customers and suppliers.
Requirements: Whilst we aren’t looking for any specific experience or training, we may consider your background work experience which could give you an advantage. What we really need at Bedrock is genuine enthusiasm and a willingness to learn quickly.
We’re looking for a candidate who is able to demonstrate their care and attention to detail, and is able to avoid future mistakes by learning from experience. Being on-top of things and aware on progress on several orders at once is a must.
It's vital that eventually you’ll be trusted to work independently, capable of managing the entire build process on your own, when necessary, whilst hitting a basic performance quota of units built per day.
We’re looking for an enthusiast in technology and gaming. The work can be quite physical at times, so make sure you’re capable of handling heavy items.
Company culture:
* Whilst we have experience hiring several part-time staff members, you’re likely to become Bedrock’s first full time employee. This opens the door to a managerial position as we hire more staff, in as little as 6 months.
* As you’ll be filling such an important role for us, we’d be more than happy to reward high performance if you exceed our expectations.
* Work in an informal and modern work environment. Play your own music in the office. We’ll make your workspace as enjoyable and as comfortable for you as possible.
* Flexible working hours and lunchbreaks.
* Free Parking
