Job description
Purpose of role
To undertake a variety of design activities, essentially designing ventilation products, producing detailed drawings for manufacture and compiling Bills of materials.
Role and responsibilities:
General
- Produce, outline and detail drawings to a high standard using AutoCAD
- Design bespoke AHUs using our visual AHU software
- Produce a bill of materials for ventilation products
- Carry out detailed preliminary checks on colleague’s designs
- Work to pre-plan schedules, post routes and consume designs using Microsoft Dynamics
- Book off all scheduled work and endeavour to hit pre-determined targets
- Issue drawings to customer to suit requirements
- Approve component drawings from suppliers
- To take responsibility for all tasks undertaken and ensure they are completed to the highest standard possible
- To manage your time effectively to ensure all projects undertaken meet any deadlines that are set
- Filing and retrieving information and documents
- Data Entry
- Take notes at meetings and produce concise and accurate minutes and reports
- Identifying areas where further training would improve personal efficiency and notifying the lead Design Engineer.
- Ensure all data is compiled to allow performance related reports to be run
- Attend design reviews
- Liaise with all departments and assist with booking in unplanned works
- Assist with production issues
Any other duties deemed appropriate by your line manager
