Senior Design Engineer, Walsall, £40-45k
My client is a leading design and manufacturing company. They are looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of new products and product improvement as well the technical lead for the design team, accountable to upkeep best engineering practices.
We are looking for the Senior Design Engineer to be part of their Research & Development Department within this expanding business. You will be supporting a key brand in their range, ensuring they keep design innovation, ease of function and installation and quality at the heart of everything they do.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities: -
*Responsible for drawing and design output.
* Aid the team to improve and design diligence and system organisation.
*Design parts, assemblies, and complete products.
*Be the key technical liaison for relevant industry standards.
*Technical drawings and parts related drawings.
*Technical file production and maintenance.
*Validation testing and documentation to industry standards.
*Clear and effective cross function liaison with key stakeholders.
*Supplier and project management.
*Working closely with manufacturing and purchasing team.
Requirements: -
*5+ years’ experience in a design/mechanical development role
*Excellent CAD user ideally SolidWorks.
*Supporting qualifications.
*Experience with PDM - Essential.
*BOM creation and development.
*Mould tool principle, injection moulding an fabrication techniques - desirable.
*Experience with welded frames, turned parts, CNC machined parts - desirable.
*Detailed drawing specs including Critical to Quality (CTQ), Tolerance stacks.

*Experience with managing total product solutions.

*Guiding and supporting the design team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £45,000.00 per year
