DESIGN DESIGNER – LIFESTYLE SPORTSWEAR Manchester, England
Job description
Great opportunity created for a Designer to join a rapid growing premium sportswear brand.
Reporting to the Head of Design on Castore Mainline, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the creation of the seasonal collections from concept to completion. You will also work closely with & coordinate the relationship with the product development team and suppliers where necessary.
Responsibilities include;
- Work closely with the Head of Design in delivering the seasonal ranges.
- Conduct research into products, fabric, colour, knit, print and trims
- Create strong seasonal mood boards, research boards and reference materials in line with the seasonal briefs and relevant to the brand.
- Create, and finalise tech packs for the collections in line with critical paths.
- Work with the Head of Design to prepare all aspects of the design process for key design milestones, meetings and reviews.
- Present research and designs to the wider business
- Research and find new sustainable fabrics and production methods to improve sustainability
You must have the relevant skills:
BA in Fashion, Sportswear or Textiles.
- +3 years of proven design experience within the sportswear apparel industry. A combination of premium brand experience combined with performance sportswear / activewear experience a plus. • Ability to multi-task and delegate effectively on several projects simultaneously
- A strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability with a “hands on” attitude
- Great time management skills
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & Microsoft Office
- A working knowledge of 3D and computational tools a plus
