Job description
An Experienced and trustworthy Nanny/Housekeeper with a professional and friendly disposition, to support a professional family with the management of the household and their 2 children’s daily care and schedules. A live-out role primarily based in Cambridgeshire, the role will also involve occasional travel when needed, and possibly internationally.
The ideal candidate will have a calm, yet positive personality with a flexible, ‘can do’ attitude as during the holidays therole will become more childcare focused. You will be highly discreet, adaptable, proactive, hardworking, and trustworthy with the ability to prioritize. You will ideally have prior experience of looking after children of various ages.
Working across 5 days per week, 40+ hours, flexibility is required around hours and weekend working that will supportthe family. A driver is essential for this role.
NANNY DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
· Organise and coordinate the children’s school, sports, music activities, after school clubs and other general activities.
· Ensure all school uniforms, including sports kits are in place.
· Clothes shopping and general purchasing of items for the children
· Drive the children when needed, including but not limited to; to and from school, play dates, sports activities, activity clubs, birthday parties, events etc.
· Manage the children’s calendars including school holidays; arrange, coordinate suitable weekend, and holiday activities.
· Support the children with homework and educational activities.
· Source and coordinate tutors where necessary.
HOUSEKEEPING DUTIES IN SCHOOL HOURS
· General housekeeping to an extremely high standard.
· Responsible for the overall cleanliness, organisation, and upkeep of the property.
· Laundry (fine fabrics and linen) and ironing of school uniform and children's clothing.
· Wardrobe management.
· Cooking: you will be required to cook home-made meals on occasions.
· Working with the House Manager to order food and household items, ensuring the fridge is stocked.
· Care of high-end furnishings, surfaces.
· Controlling housekeeping supplies.
· Deal quickly and responsibly with any issues that arise.
· Supporting the House Manager to assist with general adhoc tasks.
What you'll need
Prior experience supporting a family and looking after children of various ages.
Prior experience as a housekeeper.
Valid UK driver’s license and a confident driver.
Located within an hour’s commute to Wilburton.
Trustworthy, discreet, empathetic to children’s needs.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Flexible, positive, proactive, engaging and reliable with a client-focused approach.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
