Your Role
We are looking for a Design Computation Leader to join our London Office.
This role is a great opportunity to join the creative team at Gensler to work on highly acclaimed ground-breaking projects that require sophisticated and advanced digital integration strategies.
You will be creating and implementing project-specific computational design solutions with focus on constructability/DfMA, guest experience, resilience, cost estimation, and more. In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate prolific expertise with industry-trusted design technology tools in support of design iteration, validation, and delivery.
Through the focus of your work, you will integrate innovative solutions to deliver a design product with sophisticated digital deliverables and DfMA focus. To do so, you will deploy computational design and BIM algorithms and processes in service of large & complex projects.

What You Will Do

Collaborate with Digital Integration Project Leaders and project teams to deploy best-in-class project-specific technology solutions to provide unparalleled design excellence to our clients.

Create and apply computational algorithms for a variety of design problems.

Identify, research, and recommend technology solutions and workflows that address needs expressed by our clients and design practitioners.

Create proof-of-concept prototypes

Lead formal and informal training for team members.

Present to internal and external stakeholders.

Create and maintain project documentation.

Adapt to skills and knowledge of project needs and platforms.
Your Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Building Science, Architecture, Design Technology and Computation with at least 10 years of experience or more.

Expert with Rhino-Grasshopper.

Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Dynamo.

Working knowledge of Rhino<->Revit Interoperability solutions such as Rhino.Inside.Revit and Conveyor.

Proven experience with whole-project solutions that combine computational design and BIM deliverables.

Proven experience deploying computational design on large & complex projects.

Working knowledge of Rhino-based Computational Resilience Platforms such as Ladybug.Tools, ClimateStudio, Eddy3D.

Familiarity with prefabricated building systems and DfMA techniques.

Exceptional critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.

Must provide a portfolio in either PDF form or a link to a website portfolio.

Significant experience delivering large & complex DfMA projects.

Experience building UI/UX with HumanUI for Grasshopper.

Experience/ability to build and deploy Rhino + GH plugins.

Experience creating custom Grasshopper and/or Dynamo components with Python or C#.

Experience creating custom Revit Add-Ins.
