Job description
Bean Tree Cafe is a busy daytime cafe in Page Park, Staple Hill. We are looking for an experienced Barista/Food Service Assistant capable of working over 7 days a week including bank holidays. You would be expected to work either the Saturday or Sunday each weekend. You would have the option of swapping days including weekend shifts as and when needed and in line with our rota.
The ideal candidate has the following skills:
- Ability to work in a very busy environment. If you don't like a fast paced café, this role isn't for you.
- Barista training and ability to make drinks quickly and to a high standard.
- Level 3 Food Safety or relevant experience.
- Food service experience - we would like this person to learn food service.
- Organised and able to work under pressure.
- Someone who can work in an open kitchen and is tidy in appearance.
- Ability to work with others and good communication skills.
Desirable:
- A keen interest in food, drink and menu development.
- A desire to put on extra events such as evening pop ups with the potential for profit share.
