Lowestoft
Salary circa £80,000 (depending on experience) + up to 20% Annual Bonus, Family Health Care and Car Allowance

Our Vacancy:
The Deputy Site Manager will support the Site Manager to implement the agreed site operations and maintenance strategy through the management of a range of operational activity across the site ensuring that this is achieved safely, efficiently and in compliance with relevant statutory/legislative requirements and Company policies/procedures.
In addition to managing a broad range of operational activity requiring a working knowledge of a number of technical disciplines the Deputy Site Manager will also be required to take a lead/expert role in a specific technical discipline in order to develop, maintain and improve on the activities and processes within the allocated discipline with a focus on continuous improvement and cost reduction.
What You’ll Do:
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Leading the team in the cost-effective planning and delivering of all scheduled and unscheduled O&M activities, following guidelines from SPR’s Asset Integrity Team.
- Maximising the availability and performance of the site assets.
- Managing a multidisciplinary team consisting of SAPs, Technicians, Windfarm Controllers and other employees, along with project managing of back-office staff to ensure a coordinated approach to activities undertaken.
- Managing suppliers and contractors for balance of plant maintenance, vessel supply and other services to ensure that they meet their obligations under agreed contractual arrangements.
- Managing OEM service contracts and/or own organisation service plan for entire site ensuring that all obligations are met.
- Co-ordinating with National Grid, the Offshore Transmission Operator, ABP Lowestoft, local authorities and other key stakeholders to ensure positive relationships which support the effective operation of the site operations.
- Undertaking the role of Authorised Person under the SPR Electrical & Mechanical Safety Rules (HV).
What You'll Bring:
To be successful in applying for this role, you will have a Degree in a relevant discipline - Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Logistics and Supply Chain Management - or equivalent compensatory experience along with extensive knowledge of the roles and obligations under electrical/mechanical safety rules systems.
Your leadership/line management experience in a similar role in the offshore wind industry will be supported by specialist technical knowledge of electro-mechanical generating plant or logistics and supply chain operations. Knowledge of wind turbine and HV safety rules and experience of SCADA systems and contractor management will be essential.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll be effective in the management of conflicting priorities and make commercially sound decisions in a pressurised environment without compromising safety.
