DEPUTY HEADTEACHER - QUALITY OF EDUCATION
Felixstowe School
Required: September 2023
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: L20-24 (£70,732 - £78,010 per annum)
We are looking to appoint an inspirational and experienced Senior Leader with a passion for accelerating progress across the whole school
curriculum.
The successful candidate will a be a highly visible, collaborative and inspirational leader who will model the highest levels of professionalism and inspire, motivate and develop staff and students. Our senior team put the educational needs of the children at the heart of everything.
The Deputy Headteacher - QofE will:
- Be the lead for all matters relating to Curriculum, Data, Exams, Assessment and Intervention Strategies
- Provide detailed analysis of academic performance throughout the school
- Communicate the school’s vision compellingly and supporting the headteacher’s strategic leadership
- Monitor progress towards the strategic implementation and evaluation of aims and objectives of the school including leading on SEF and SDP
- Ensure that there is effectively delivered quality first teaching for students with additional learning needs
- Oversee policies for achieving these aims and objectives relating to the curriculum, assessment and intervention strategies
- Manage staff and resources to that end
- Promote the ethos of equal opportunities for all staff and students
You will have the ability to teach across the full age and ability range and will be able to enthuse, engage and motivate our students to achieve their full potential.
This is an exciting time to join our journey of improvement and play a key part in transforming the lives of our young people. We work as part of a family of schools within our Trust, each school retaining their individuality but with the network of support from colleagues in other schools to call on. The Trust has a positive approach to staff well-being, and is currently consulting on a two week October half term break with a slightly adjusted school day to compensate.
