Deputy Head of School: Inclusive Learning and ESOL

Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Flexible Working: We welcome applications from those seeking flexible or part time hours
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (subject to experience)
Reporting To: Head of School

IN SHORT

As the Deputy Head of School, your role will be dynamic, varied and highly rewarding working with employers and curriculum teams. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Inclusive Learning and ESOL provision. Working closely with your team and Head of School, you will look to develop a high-quality, innovate curriculum that meets the needs of employers and delivers high quality outcomes for students.

It is important that you can support and encourage your colleagues so the ability to people manage and act as direct support for the Head of School is essential. You will be a self-motivated individual eager to develop and take on further responsibility. You will need to have experience of working under the SEND code of practice and supporting SEND young people to achieve positive outcomes.

Code Makers Academy is a subsidiary of Milton Keynes College and is the delivery arm of the South Central Institute of Technology. The South Central IoT is a consortium of prestigious partners led by Milton Keynes College. The College is also a national provider of education services in prisons across the country. For nearly 30 years, we have worked with offenders in both custody, the wider community and currently work with 19 prisons across England; this includes 13 prisons, which make up the Long Term High Security Estate, and 6 category B, C & D men’s prisons.
