The University is looking to appoint an exceptional colleague as Deputy Head of Education Services (Education and Student Outcomes).
The successful candidate will join the senior leadership team of a young and ambitious new division in a newly configured role, focussed on delivering improved services to students, academics and professional service colleagues across the collegiate University.
Reporting to the Head of Education Services, this new role will oversee the Careers Service, the Education Quality and Policy Office (EQPO), the Postgraduate Research Office (PGRO), the Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning (CCTL), and a new Blended Learning Service (BLS).
A key priority will be identifying connections between these areas of activity and building a cohesive endeavour across them.
The appointee will work with high-performing and committed colleagues to develop and deliver a strategy pulling together: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; academic, life and employability skills; and support for teaching, learning and assessment.
This is an exceptional opportunity to drive forward an area of activity of critical strategic importance to the University.
Strong candidates for the role will bring an agile, resilient and collegiate approach with a track record of facilitating and leading change within a complex environment, ideally within Higher Education. Familiarity leading broad and high-achieving teams and exceptional problem-solving and organisation skills will be key in this role, alongside significant experience of managing projects and the ability to run and enhance student-related operations. Ideally, candidates will also demonstrate an understanding of the external policy environment relating to the student experience.
