We have a Deputy General Manager position available at The Lord Nelson, for an individual keen to develop their talent with the support of an acclaimed company.
For the Deputy General Manager position we need you to be able to lead from the front on every shift. Being the key support to the General Manager means that you need to be there for your team and guests at all times. Steadying the ship, making sure all is fine, the team are clear on what needs to be done whilst having fun and ultimately your guests are having a great time. Big smiles, engaging personality and a genuine, authentic way about you to keep everyone happy - this role is guaranteed to be challenging each and every day and never, ever dull!

As a Deputy General Manager, you will need to be able to demonstrate passion and energy to deputise in the absence of the General Manager and lead the team.
Main responsibilities include: Assist the General Manager to train, coach, mentor and motivate team members - Deal with team member performance issues and escalate where appropriate - Hold pre-session briefings as and when appropriate - Have knowledge and understanding of competitor activity and assist with implementing and driving promotions - Understand the pub’s budget and manage expenditure accordingly - Lead by example to ensure that the highest possible levels of customer service are delivered by the team at all times.
What we look for in a Deputy General Manager:
At least 1 years experience in a supervisory role
Pub experience
Ability to role model our values and brand standards
Passionate about great service
Great eye for detail
Excellent verbal communication
Ability to work calmly under pressure
Skilled in organising and planning
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £10.50-£12.50 per hour
