In this role you’ll be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the operation run effectively and efficiently. The depot has a small night warehouse operation, de-picking product arriving from our network, as well as a distribution element that’s focused on delivering exemplary customer service across the central South Coast.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, you will provide exceptional leadership and have responsibility for the site achieving key targets and metrics. You’ll also be responsible for the site budget and ensuring company, operational and legal compliance in critical areas including Health and Safety, Transport, as well as Food Safety.
A proven leader, you will develop your direct reports and set clear direction for all colleagues, creating a culture that enhances colleague experience through regular and open channels, enabling and driving colleague engagement and high performance.
You’ll be a forward-thinking individual, able to manage change - identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvements with a view to drive colleague experience, service, and cost benefits. You’ll be expected to be on site during critical operational hours which will predominantly be Monday – Friday however a level of flexibility is required.
To join us as the Operations Manager, you will have previous leadership experience in a fast-paced operation and have strong operational knowledge of either warehousing or distribution – ideally within the FMCG sector. You will hold a CPC with O Licence and be IOSH or NEBOSH qualified, however we will provide training if required. You’ll be commercially astute; results driven, and detail orientated - using data to support your decision making.
