An exciting opportunity has developed for a suitable person to join our technical team based at University Hospital Crosshouse. The Oral Facial Laboratory serves the patient population of NHS Ayrshire & Arran providing clinical, technical and advisory services to the Orthodontic, Oral & Maxillofacial, Restorative, Ophthalmology and Ear, Nose & Throat specialities.
You will work as a Dental Technician for a multi-disciplinary Team and will be required to be involved in a range of dental technology manufacturing processes.
Key elements of the post will be the undertaking of typical laboratory duties, incorporating high quality dental appliance construction involving both restorative and orthodontics; knowledge of lab scanner and software applications would be an advantage. Equipment maintenance; data retrieval from laboratory electronic systems. Knowledge of laboratory Quality Management Systems for MDR, GDC registration with effective communication skills, combined with good manual dexterity are a pre-requisite for the post.
All shortlisted applicants will be required to sit a manual dexterity skills test plus interview.
