Slateford Dental Care is looking to recruit a long term full time receptionist to join our friendly, experienced team.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Open and prepare the clinic for arrival of clients.
- Greet clients.
- Register clients according to established protocols.
- Assist clients to complete all necessary forms and documentation.
- Ensure clients’ information is accurate including billing information.
- Maintain and manage clients’ records.
- Move clients through appointments as scheduled.
- Show clients additional merchandise available to purchase.
- Prepare any merchandise purchased by clients.
- Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries.
- Schedule clients’ appointments.
- Collect payments.
- Report statistics as requested.
- Respond to and comply with requests for information.
- Complete other clerical duties as assigned.
- Maintain stock of forms, office supplies and merchandise.
- Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Tidy and close clinic at end of shift.
- Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.
We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic person with good communication skills, an excellent telephone manner and motivation to provide a friendly and efficient service to our clinicians and patients. Training will be offered. Additional hours may be required so flexibility is a must. Salary based on experience.

Experience:
- Medical Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
