Role Responsibility
The Delivery Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of initiatives across the squad(s) in the Team Member Experience domain.
The Delivery Manager will help to support the shaping of business ideas into deliverable initiatives that:
- Span multiple business areas across the domain that need to be appropriately resourced, funded, and manged (including 3rd party suppliers)
- Require organisational change and impact multiple IT and business teams
- Require transition to the BAU support team
The Delivery Manager is accountable for building an approach that links up all workstreams of an initiative, ensuring that they are all properly managed and reports regularly on progress. They will generally do this for more than one initiative at a time, so an ability and desire to multi-task and work flexibly is essential.
As the Delivery Manager- Digital, You will also:
- Work closely with Product Owners/Business Analysts to ensure all projects have the required delivery assets and user story backlogs at the appropriate stages of the delivery lifecycle
- Work with the Business Analysts/Product Managers to ensure that new business processes are accurately mapped and the implications of these are clearly understood by stakeholders
- Work with Procurement to select and manage any third parties to time, budget, and quality. This includes influencing and negotiating as necessary to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Shape and deliver strategically important backlogs of work.
- Work with and influence the business to define initiatives and/or products, agreeing the right delivery approach (based on the delivery framework), drawing together business, architecture, and engineering, where relevant, to ensure the initiative is delivered in the correct way.
- Manage the delivery of squad initiatives within agreed parameters of cost, timescale, and quality.
- Help to manage cross domain dependencies and integration of third parties into our teams as appropriate, depending on the level and nature of partnership desired
- Work with Finance and PMO to monitor and report on resources, revenue, and capital costs against project budgets, managing expectations of Domain Sponsors, both product and Tech.

- Stakeholder Management - Feel comfortable challenging the status quo respectfully and provide advice to improve delivery. Manages the expectations of Sponsors and Stakeholders, highlighting risk and issues and decisions needed for delivery to continue forward.
