Please note that this is a Field Based role and can be based out of any of our Store Support Centre's - Holborn, Manchester & Coventry, with home working.
There has never been a more exciting time to join the Retail Delivery team, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an agile and flexible group of Retail Delivery Managers, responsible for planning and executing business projects to all of retail. As a Delivery Manager you are supporting the frontline of our operation, will role model and lead business investment & change through inspirational coaching and engagement, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple & complex projects & programmes. The role requires effective planning whilst driving sustainability of change, identifying risk & resolving issues at pace, holding stakeholders and business owners to account.
To be successful in this role you must be self-motivated, self-sufficient and good relationship building skills.
More about the role
- Plan & execute business change & investment including but not limited to: retail process improvements and innovations; Store Development Group programme across both Argos and Sainsburys, Food Growth Digital developments; other complex business change
- Deliver business change & investment through agreed methodology, approach & documentation, ensuring a consistent way of working across all Delivery Managers
- Build & maintain relationships to leverage brilliant cross functional working throughout our stakeholder group
- Lead and motivate various project stakeholders through a matrix leadership approach to deliver allocated tasks and activity, providing coaching and guidance where required
- Ensure the critical path of retail activity is delivered against key milestones, responsible for communication to all relevant stakeholders where this falls short, including the clear agreements of outstanding actions post project completion
- Managing budgets and financial constraints
More about you
- Good retail and/or operational understanding
- Fully understand project management, it’s approach and benefit
- Ability to translate good operational knowledge to influence operational change and improvements in our stores
- Great commercial awareness and to be able to demonstrate this in both communication of benefit and management of cost
- Strong communication both verbal and written skills
- Desired experience of delivery and/or project implementation and a relentless desire for continuous improvement
