We are looking for an experienced Shipping Manager to join our team at Stinson Equipment in this newly created role!
Stinson is a full-service infrastructure safety company with three locations (Concord, Woodbridge, Gormley) and has long been considered by those in the industry to be Ontario’s leader for traffic safety products and services. Over the past 60 years we have been proudly providing quality infrastructure solutions to Ontario’s municipalities, construction, industrial, private, and public sectors.

You have:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Senior experience in shipping and logistics with 2+ years experience leading a small team
- Forklift license is an asset
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and a knack for learning new software
- Committed to health and safety
- Customer centric approach to servicing all stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership & communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and proactively plan work
As a Shipping Manager, you will:
- Oversee departmental budget
- Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and other managers to improve and optimize processes
- Resolve issues regarding shipped orders and RMA
- Manage all important documentation including advanced shipping notices, packing slips, bills of lading, etc.
- Inspect labels/reference order numbers of completed order
- Perform shipping, receiving, and/or logistics tasks as needed to cover peak periods and absences
- Provide coaching, training, and constructive feedback to direct reports
- Collaborate with the VP, Sales & GM, Signs & Devices on employee and departmental issues and identify solutions for improvement and problem solving
- Follow and champion health and safety practices, policies, and regulations
- Manage departmental KPIs and goals
- Participate in Company projects and initiatives
- Other duties as assigned to meet Company and customer needs
