Job description

Responsibilities:

• Receive delivery information from Branch Manager
• Review packaged products for transportation
• Communicate all pertinent information to Branch Manager regarding changes or concerns
• Inspect the safety conditions of the delivery vehicle on a daily basis including tires, lights, brakes, steering, etc.
• Maintain good housekeeping including reports of any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions
• Record proof of delivery, bills of lading
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail
• Exhibit professionalism and customer service skills
• Deliver to regional, short-haul transportation routes
• Reliability and organization are key components of this position

Qualifications:

• Highschool diploma/GED
• WHMIS and Safe Lifting knowledge is preferred
• Valid G License
• Clean Driver’s Abstract

Physical/Mental Demands:

• Regularly lift/move objects that range from 10-55 lbs
• Count, organise, wrap and load goods on to the truck
• Frequently standing, sitting, walking, crouching, climbing, carrying, pushing and pulling of skids via a pump truck and products via a dolly
