About SPT
Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven regional transport partnerships. We run the Glasgow Subway, a host of specialist bus services and are responsible for delivering better public transport for all.
SPT is the proud custodian of the Glasgow Subway. Our services call at 15 stations, stretching across the West End and City Centre of Glasgow.
Over the next few years we will be making history with huge investments that will affect all areas of operations, from new trains to stations upgrades and local community support.
About the Role
These roles have become available due to internal promotions and staff development. As a member of the Subway Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the management of any of SPT’s 15 Subway Stations as well as safety, security and congestion management. As a Service Delivery Assistant (Stations) you will deliver the best possible service to our Subway customers by providing a safe, secure and clean environment.
About You
The successful candidates will have excellent communication, interpersonal, numeracy and literacy skills. You will have experience of working in a customer-facing or front-line customer orientated role in a commercial or operational environment. A team player who is keen to contribute to the running of the Subway whilst being motivated and ambitious to advance your career. High levels of concentration and vigilance are key to this role while working in a safety critical environment. Education to National 5 level in English, Maths/Arithmetic (or equivalent) is essential.

Full time hours will be an average of 39 hours a week working up to 5 days out of 7 on a shift pattern. You will be based at Govan and cover all Subway Stations.
