Job description
- Deliver Garments between Dry Cleaning Partners and Stitch It Stores on a regular time schedule.
- Pick up garments from customers (including corporate customers) and deliver them to the appropriate Stitch It locations.
- Pick up finished garments from Stitch It location(s) and deliver back to the customer.
- Driver is responsible for loading their shipments daily
- Responsible for coordinating deliveries with customers over the phone/email and route app/ daily manifesto
- Ensuring the load is secured and safe for transportation.
- Interacting with customers and provide excellent Customer Service with each delivery
- Resolve any problems/issues with customers that may arise ie. delivery issues
- Drive company van and execute delivery and pickups throughout southwestern Ontario
- Responsible for gas receipts and log books updated Daily for tracking and accounting.
- Be available for additional Ad Hoc deliveries as we continue to grow the business.
Qualifications Required:
- Post-secondary education
- 2 years of relevant experience with a focus on customer service preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management, prioritization, leadership and communication skills
- A valid G driver’s license with a driving record in good standing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Computer skills are an asset, for using the tracking app
- Ability to not smoke during working hours
Working Conditions:
Vehicle
- Stitch It will provide you with a Company 4 wheel Vehicle for business use.
- You would be expected to share opening and closing report on daily basis which would include odometer at the start and end of your shift and images of all sides of the vehicle
- Daily report would include van check at the start and end of the shift.
- You would be required to send a before and after Gas reading picture every time the gas is refilled.
- Company provided vehicle would come with a pre-installed tag for tracking.
- We would require a copy of your valid driver’s license for insurance purpose.
- Tickets of any type – speeding or parking would be driver paid.
- In case of damage, you are to immediately report to Head Office and comply with Police and Insurance formalities.
- Non Smoking Vehicle
Salary:
- $18/ hour less applicable deductions.
Hours of Work
- Part Time – Schedule to be determined – availability on weekends is required
- Overtime pay available
- Ontario
